"Pet"?? Great bird photo!

I went out to my local park & snapped a few leading line photos today. I'm surprised we didn't have more for the theme this week, but maybe folks were busy. I shot a lot using that concept for work, but I can't post them here since they're kids' photos. That just means I have to shoot some more I can share.

And I had to take this last one. It caught my attention right before I got in the car. :-)

He is getting unafraid of me lately..
In the beginning, I could barely get a glimpse of him or his mate before they would bolt!

If the tracks weren't a bit of a drive for me, I would have used that subject, Tim!

Here is another shot with some leading lines.. ..

Not so many contributions this week, but some great shots.
If this were a competition my vote would go to Lisa's kitty in the cage, walking out. That is a great shot, Lisa.
Also love your lady bugs, Stina. A great idea and well photographed.
And John's shots, the first especially.
InPhoto, love that shot. Maybe that's a bad lens, but it works well here.
Pete, well done with a couple of well thought out shots.
Benetoite, also well done with the Lord of the Rings.
And I love Joayne's birds! That is a beauty of a bird, Jo. I wish we had them here. And great shots too.

My problem this week was
1. too many options as there are leading lines everywhere
2. too many choices for obvious leading lines and I'm not good enough for that stuff to make it special
3. beautiful weather which made me go to the country side every day to shoot birds

So, I'm following Joayne's example with a couple of bird shots. They're not my best but I thought they fit the theme the best.
Lots of leading lines for this little fellow. It's a Sedge Warbler and this is where he lives.

More of a vertical line here. A Black-tailed Godwit on a pole, close to the breeding grounds.
It's not really a bird shot but a habitat shot. The country side is so extraordinarily beautiful right now with the fields filled with wild flowers and the birds breeding in there. I exposed this shot to the right as much as I dared to get an image that would be light, warm, sunny and a reflection of how I have been feeling all week: happy as can be.

One more. A beautiful sunset with a spectacular sky so I took a few shots. The sky is as I photographed it, but I did blend three shots for the ground, the buildings so as to not have them all black. Leading lines in the sky, the skyline, the water. And look, there are three swans in the canal, forming a line of their own! :) Taken from my bedroom window on the third floor.

What a lovely view, Levina! I bet you get to see a lot a nice sunsets (and geese).

Pete, looks like your garden is growing nicely. Are those peas on the strings?

Since we had so few contributions this week, I thought I would add another shot. It's not much of a shot although converting to B&W does help a bit. Oh well... :)

Great ending to the week. Nice posts, Lisa, Tim, Levina and Pete.

Levina, I really like your first bird shot (the pose is different).
