Has anyone heard anything about when the wireless transmitter for the 1DX2 will start shipping?

I have no idea... But I do know that I won't ever buy another WFT module.

Camranger cost a whole lot less, have much the same functionality (though less range) and are more universally usable across different Canon camera models.
