Why is there not much 10D discussion anymore?....I am still an avid 10D user and will continue to be for some time. It seems that anytime something new comes along, the old gets forgotten and goes by the wayside. Are there anymore 10D users out there?....

Cause so many people are into the latest and greatest and not necessarily into taking good pictures which can be done with even the simplest of older cameras.

Yup...it seems like that's the case, I'm sure the D30/D60 users felt the same way.

I'm still a happy 10D user, in fact making money using it with my crappy 28-135IS!!!!
I did splurge last christmas (2005) and bought a 1D, the ancient four megapixel dinosaur.

Come.......on....Canon, release more 1-Series body 'cause I want the 1DMKIIn (used of course).

Happy Shooting!

I'm another happy 10D user. I will be adding another body soon, so a 30D could be on the cards. Can't quite justify the 1DIIN! The 10D shots are just as good as they were when I bought it and I might have even got a bit better myself. I guess we are all just happy users these days with no questions to throw out there.

I too, am a 10d user. Most of what applies to the 20d, applies still to the 10d. There's really not much to discuss about them. It's a cracking camera though.

The 10D has been a dream for me in my work as a newspaper photographer. I will continue to use it till it craps out on me.

Yup, I still use my 10D.

Discussions happen only when someone brings it up. So, if you want to discuss the 10D or have a question you need answered, just post them here. I'm sure there are still lots of 10D user out there who'd be more than happy to answer your question or participate in the discussion. :)

I still use my 10D, but am sending it to get diagnostic because exposure is going weird. For over 2 years, it's been my best friend. I still have it in the holster for that quick grab and run trip. My 20D is my primary for events, but I don't want to take it out too much.

The 10D is a fantastic camera. Mine can be tempremental once in a while but those big photosensors give a "creamy" look to the images. If you want to be impressed again by your 10D, try this experiment. Find or take a well exposed shot at iso 100 or 200 with some nice detail (head shot/detail/cat/dog/duck) process to taste(NO USM) then, if you have photoshop, upsize it 200% with bicubic smoother. So now instead of a 6MP shot you have the upsized 24MP version. Change the dpi setting in the image size box to suit your printer(do not forget to uncheck the resize box) then make a 8X10 crop. Now is the time to apply the USM to taste. Make a print and enjoy the fact that you now have a 24MP camera.

I am quite happy with my 10D. I have considered upgrading, but I am not in any hurry actually. For me, its all about the image and the creativity and the 10D still does it.

I love the images my D30 produces, I just wish the focus was quicker and more effective. Having better high ISO performance would also be nice. Think I'll probably get a 20d when the prices come down a bit more.

Its the old 'flavour of the month' story: however, people's wish for 'the latest and greatest'does the rest of us favours - as when I bought my mint 10D 0n Ebay....

I just upgraded to a 5d last week. I loved my 10d and still do. It is an incredible camera and they may never make an upgrade to that model line that feels quite as solid. I would have never been able to move to the 20d or I suspect, the 30d because of the great build and the nice shutter sound of the 10d. Damn thing spoiled me.

I am selling it to a great friend of mine and have no doubt that he will love it for years to come. I'll send him to you guys for when I am not around to answer questions.

This has been asked before. The reason there's less discussion of the 10D in the Equipment Forums is that most of the issues with 10Ds have been covered repeatedly; people posting here now are either considering, or have just got, a newer model and have questions about it. We still see the odd post on the D30 (not 30D), but not often. Also, there are more 300Ds, 350Ds, and 20Ds out there than 10Ds.
