Palm Warbler

Though uncommon in our area, I often run across a few palm warblers, mainly in spring. Last year I chased one all over our property trying to get a good photo. This year, this one flew to a perch right near the house. The second shot shows a bit of wing blur as he stopped to preen, but the head is dead-on in focus and the result is rather a nice pose, I think.

Thank you all for your kind comments. Very few passerines have arrived yet this year and those that have largely moved on. So it was a real treat to be able to photograph this fellow.
