This year, birding in Northern Illinois has been tough. We've had some heavy NE Winds off of Lake Michigan and while there has been a few rarities show up, it's been slow going.
Here's a few that I've managed to get so far. Please feel free to offer critique, I appreciate it!
Thanks,
Ken

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

Ditto that!

They are all great, but the first one is outstanding!

I can't imagine what you would produce if birding had been better! Excellent set!

Such an amazing series.
Loved every one of them especially that sexy #2.
What was your bust speed on image #4, to make the composite image?
Extremely well done.

Nice shots, I'm in Southern Wisconsin, and we're getting amazing fallout from the migration!

Thanks Tim - it has been really slow. Today it actually picked up! Got some new ones after my real estate shoot. Can't wait to get back out there tomorrow.

I cheated on the composite. I figured that it was going to land on the sick so I locked the camera down, focused on the stick. As soon as it came in, I just cranked the shutter. An easy composite!
