Vanguard PH-32 grease leak

I have a Vanguard Alta Pro 263AT tripod with the PH32 head. The last few weeks I've noticed some grease or some other type of lubricant leaking from the joint where the head pivots front and back. It's causing me to get this sticky goo on my hands and then on my camera, lens and anything else I touch. Has anyone else had an issue similar to this?

One individual in doing a review over at B&H Photo comments "The only cons are the weight, which isn't terrible, and the grease they put on the panhead and handles. It's a lot, and it gets everywhere."

I'd suggest you contact the importer (I see you are from Canada) and see about warranty. Here in the States there is a weasel worded "standard" warranty but there is free extended coverage if you register your purchase. You supposedly have to have the receipt.
