The second two arrived today.
Along with one Nikon trigger, both Canon triggers are backorders. Not sure why but hopefully before too long.
I need to have them in hand before I can setup some workshops.

Hi David....you got a Nikon trigger? Do you shoot Nikon?

No.
Because of the deals that Adorama offered with triggers I ordered two XPLOR600s with Nikon triggers, and two with Canon.
I shoot Sony and have two Sony triggers I got from a Godox connected Reseller in China as soon as they were available.
The reason for the Nikon and Canon triggers is for workshops and when shooting with an associate that is using either N or C. :-D

My thoughts exactly. I'm gonna follow suit and get a Sony and Nikon transmitter.

Can you give a rough ballpark on the recycle time at full power w/ and w/o HSS, and if you have AC adapter maybe battery vs AC as well. I already have the RL600B but in snail mode at full power is already about 4sec, and w/ HSS it's almost double.

Thanks,

Without HSS it's around 2-2.5 seconds and with it I think it goes to 3-4 seconds. I have the AC adapter but haven't used it yet. I'm primarily an on location photographer. The XPLOR is loads better than the rovelight. =)

Anyone know how to connect XPLOR600 to Kacey dish? I was able to order this speedring which let me use my Photoflex softbox.

Now need to order this so I can use my Paul Buff stripbox if needed http://www.adorama.com …=cpc&utm_source=adl-gbase (external link)

The 6" Desmond (Bowens adapter) would probably work. I have some PCB adapters from Kacey, that I was going to use for some other applications and I think they are 6" diameter (I would have to try to find them to make sure).

Here is a post where I show using a Desmond adapter on a PCB Omni. I have used the Desmond adapters to convert several PCB reflectors as well as a Speedotron beauty dish.

Glad to see there is a Fuji transmitter in the works.

The link in the FAQ leads to a dead page on Adorama... Any one has any info?

Looking at the Glow Parapop 28" and 38" soft boxes. They are both on sale right now at Adorama $149 and $189 respectively. Anybody with either of these care to share their experience? I'm having a tough time deciding, only want to buy once. I'm also considering the Wescott Rapidbox and how it compares with the Glow Parapop. I plan on using the modifier with my XPlor 600.

For 38" why not try SP Systems 37" Octabox. I have been using one for 5-6 yrs if not more and working out perfectly so far. I need to find a different speedring insert now for XPLOR600. It works as good as Elinchrom deep octa and much cheaper.
