Some refer to it as almost "L" quality without the weather seals. I really agree with this, I've use it on my 50D, 7D, and 7D Mark II, and have had a bad shot. Some photographers have modified this lens to fit full frame cameras. New Canon EOS 5D Mark IV, Canon EOS 7D Mark II, Canon EOS 50D, Canon 7D Classic, Canon 6D, Canon EF 70-200 f4L USM with IS, Canon 40mm pancake, Canon EF 50mm 1.8, Canon EF-S 10-22mm wide angle, Canon EF-S 18-135 IS STM, Canon EF 100mm 2.8L USM Macro, Tamron 18-270mm Dii VC, Tamron SP 150-600mm VC, Tamron SP 24-70mm f2.8 VC USM, Canon EF 16-35 f2.8L II USM, Tamron 2X Tele-Extender, 1.4 Tele-extender

It was not an easy decision. Check out the new 10-18 STM version though for a possibly cheaper alternative - the advantage of the 10-22 is a bit better flare performance if you have the sun in / near the frame and being USM means the focus doesn't change / reset when you power cycle the camera. Useful if you use ND's.

You can do some other creative things with an ultra wide angle lens. I used mine on a 60D to shoot very close to my subject for an unusual perspective. This one is exposure blended from three hand-held shots with 2-stop intervals: Sold my cropper and EF-S lenses, now have a 6D and a 16-35 f/4 for UWA shots.
