The new cheetah light 86X TTL/HSS hot shoe flash is available over at Cheetahstand for pre order. This flash has a rechargeable lithium removable battery and good for 650 pops, and a 1.5sec recycle time.....

I tested a pre-release version for Edward to confirm that the TTL and controller functions work properly with the A7RII and other multi-function shoe Sony cameras.
It was a successful test.
I have several of the earlier manual Lithium Ion battery speedlites.
In my view, the L-I battery is the preferred configuration for both on camera and off camera applications.

HERE (external link) is the first of 7 pages of my evaluation of the X system including the 860/685, the larger lights, the X1Ts controller and control functions built into the speedlites.
