nice photos. The project is interesting but not very cost effective considering the cost of the engine. For the $ a lot of nice stock cars can be found but then again there is the cache of a one off Q ship. It is a spinner too. for the money in the US I can get a slightly used Z06 2015 corvette for around 70,000 usd with 650 hp.

Thanks. It is a tuners garage and this is to showcase what they can do. He also has 1000hp+ GTR and K20 supercharged Elise that is faster than many superbikes. All his projects are mad, but at the same time any of these will handle better and be faster round the track as a Corvette though. When you have the money and need to showcase your work I think why not :)
Thanks again!

I think you're missing the point.

Nice set of photos though, can't really fault them at all. :-)

really what is the point to take a cheap car with a small motor and a nice chassis and make it a cheap car with a decent motor. Crap if you poor money into a brick you can make it go fast. it is still a brick. As far as a corvette being a midlife crisis car you could say that about any car you could no afford until you get older. less cachet then a porsche no but arguably the same or better performance for a hell of lot less money chaucun son gout. 70000 for two motorcycle engines enginerred together is facinating but stupid expensive

The point is that Toyota/Subaru's exact intention was to create a platform for people to experiment with. They didn't put that little boxer motor in because it was the best they could do, they put it in because it kept the price low, and they wanted people to go wild with turbochargers, superchargers and transplants.

You're not wrong using Corvette and brick in the same paragraph though, those two things have a lot in common!

I get it you do not have the corvette in australlia and you do not like it for what ever reason fine. You like little bitty buzzy cars also fine they are fun. I would have put an ls2 or turbocharged something into this car and not spent a 70000 on it that is just stupid. I can admire the engineering etc. do I want one hell no. plenty of nice cares out there that are more complete packages to modify or play with stock. We like australian cars here in fact we import them and badge them as american cars Like the Chevy SS. I think the Cadillac ctv is a better sedan though. I am going through a german phase right now I have an audi s4 a bit heavy but it is a nice cruiser. I hope to get a Z06 as a toy next year. I have some interesting cars in my neighborhood, audi r10 zo6 and this: can not show the pictures since I did not take them but it is a heavily modified 1968 dodge charger with 1200 HP

I don't think anyone in their right mind wakes up in the morning and says: "You know what SMART thing I'm going to do today? I'm going to SPEND MONEY improving my car's performance".

:-)

It's all about fun. Corvettes, Boxers, or Mopeds...

This is an excellent marketing tool. Evidenced right here - it get's people talking.

Great photos Reno_LV.

Twin turbos! Very impressive car & I've always loved Chargers! I'm pretty sure that I got some shots of him a few years ago at the Woodward Dream Cruise. Kind of wish that I had LR for the indexing feature so I could find them.

I need to ask him if I can pthograph his car. Chris is an interesting guy with strong tastes...
I agree with serenespeed cars in general are fun I do not understand the hate for the vette most expensive cars like ferrari lambos etc are owned by old farts as they are the ones with money and a life time of want to spend it on. I did get rid of my 93 supra tt eventually after the fast and furious movies as it got to much attetntion from all the boy racers. I guess I am an old fart I don't care what you all think on one lap car and driver the z 06 was second to the porcshe 918 off by .2 seconds. one car over a million bucks the other you can buy for 75000 used.
