urbanfreestyle I am a squirrel who loves rubbing bottles and I have Nuts in my drawers, too! More info | I generally don't use one but on sunny days i have been known to use a cpl to cut glass glare, be weary what you are shooting though as perspex / plastic can get a rainbow effect when hit with a cpl. The UV filter will keep you from scratching the front element during cleaning. A Polariser is handy for cutting reflections off the windscreen or paintwork. And an ND can be used to get lower shutter speeds for panning (without resorting to f22 and 50iso) ^Spot on really, besides the UV filter; I'm not a believer but that's a personal preference (risk acceptance) Ryan

Something i forgot about (its been a while since i used a CPL around plastic) and something to be aware of. 98kellrs wrote in post #18005456 ^Spot on really, besides the UV filter; I'm not a believer but that's a personal preference (risk acceptance) I used to shoot a lot of Drift and Rally, lots of Rubber and Dust in the air, so i used a UV filter. Yes, you get some rainbow effects sometimes transparent objects (windshields) - but I like the richer colours and minimal reflectance one gets. EOS-1D X Mark II| EOS 5D Mark IV | EOS 80D | EOS-1V HS
