Okay, firstly, I apologise in advance for the quality of the photos. I currently have a broken wrist which really restricts being able to hold the camera at all, let alone using all the controls, so was shooting on sports modes on a mono pod.

We were at a softball tournament, and they had used the plastic cones to mark out the outfield on the diamonds. The cockies thought it was a great treat that all these toys had been put out specially for them, and were having a great time playing with them. One of them was determined to take one home for further play time, but could only get about 5 feet off the ground at any time.

It was a bit like watching someone trying to get their drunk friend to come home - he would finally get him to leave a cone alone and they would waddle off and then he would see another cone and race over and start playing with that one too.

For our over seas friends, Sulphur crested cockatoos are delightfully entertaining birds, but they are very destructive and very noisy. They form large flocks and can wreak havoc on crops. They are large birds and are commonly kept as pets, learning to talk quickly and able to have a large vocabulary. They are common across much of Australia, though originally not found in Western Australia, they are now being found there.

Feel free to add photos to this post of birds behaving badly...
