Whats everyone's solution for shooting in rain and heavy dust?

Of all my filters, I use my .9 grad a fair bit and seem to be killing it constantly. The rain I find somewhat manageable as I'll wipe it and hold it vertically and get a shot or two in before the droplets start to get too much. Heavy rain is basically just do something creative... I see Lee has a matte box with the typical Lee pricing. Does anyone have experience with them? There is a few articles on them but not much on the forum. Does it do a decent job keeping the rain out? Or does it just get soaked and then eventually turn into a mess.

My big problem is with dust. I do a lot of shooting around vehicles and in spring to fall it wrecks havoc on the filters. Basically wipe it down and 10 minutes later it is coated in dust again. Not the blow off kind of dust, sticky 1mm to 2mm layer of it.

Is there suggestions for the dust? I'm thinking maybe cheaper grads so the Lee's are so expensive to replace. Otherwise I'm at a loss since anything you put in front will obviously impede the photo quality.

There is no solution much against the nature, either you don't shoot in those conditions, or just keep wiping/cleaning your filters.

I simply have glass filters, they are way way easier to clean/wipe than resin/plastic ones, and the quality is better than resin, i never look back on resin again at all anymore.

Try to find some covers that accommodate your filters size, so cover it once you see the dust is coming over your way, and when it is gone/passed you then uncover it and keep shooting, i don't think there is a solution where you can keep the dust away from your filter, maybe try some kind of good quality transparent plastic or papers that used in projectors presentations and build some kind of box so the filters stay inside and still can see in front, but i am not sure how good quality coming out of those transparent materials.

i may think to make a big box from glass so it won't be shown edges/corners with UWA lenses, so it will keep the dust away from the filter and i simply clean/wipe the box itself, i could buy a small water spray bottle if the dust doesn't go away by wipe, but all those are taking time to do unless you are quick enough in cleaning, if you find a better way then please let us know.
