I need help on how to go about setting up a website. I'm a weekend photographer so this is not my job but my hobby and love. I am doing portraits of families, seniors, ect... no weddings at this time. I was think about using smugmug as a portfolio and gallery for clients to view the pics and an off site backup of my photos.

Is smugmug a good fit for this or is there something better?

What is a good web host for domain & email? I would like to have my own .com for email.

You are asking a very involved question. Start by reading this topic: Tutorial: Where to host my photos?

Edit: The link is not as directly related to your question as I thought. It does list several hosts though....

Look at SquareSpace as a portfolio, and Pixieset to sell.
