Haven't been to a show in awhile. Only have a 50mm STM on the 20D, so with the cars being so close, it made things challenging. So, no whole car shots.

A 20D? Guess you don't upgrade too often ;-)a

I find your photos attractive, good job.

Nah. I've had DSLR's in the past. I just wanted to get another DSLR again because I missed it. But, didn't have the budget for one. So, traded some junk in the basement for a beater 20D and Paid $90 for a new 50mm STM on sale.

I figured I'd add some more shots taken today instead of making a new thread.

It's possible to shoot car shows quite well at 200mm and still get a fair amount of car in the frame, the key is to shoot from much further back (usually the next row back from the one the subject is in). That way you can also use the other cars in the foreground to isolate the subject car.

You've got some nice detail shots though.

I don't have anything that long. This latest show was very small at a tiny local gas station. And they all parked in tandem. Kinda weird. So, I just stuck with detail shots.
