Just curious as to others' experiences with exporting files from Lightroom.

Yesterday I exported 1035 jpegs from Lightroom and it took almost 2 hours. The originals were shot as jpeg and stored on an internal SSD drive, and exported to a USB 3.0 flash drive as is (no re-sizing, water-marking, etc...)

Now I know my processor isn't any sort of speed demon, (AMD dual core @ 3.4GHz if I am remembering correctly), but when I pull up my performance data during export, it shows my CPU roller-coastering pretty consistently from a low of 10% to a high of 90%.

So I guess my question is how much benefit a faster processor would give me?

With my ISO 10,000 bif photos (needing lots of NR and USM with masking), my overclocked i7 4770k system with SSD's takes 5-6 seconds per image to view in Develop. So it looks like you are right on track, depending on how much is needed to process and save each image.
