This is a picture of the southeastern sky at dusk. The clouds to the west opened just a bit to illuminate a small section of clouds just before the sun slipped below the horizon. Taken at 1/40sec, f/11, ISO 100

I think tree silhouettes into the sky must be something that new photographers just MUST do. I have quite a few of them on my hard drive too. Cool looking clouds.

I love your picture. I like to adjust my shots like this in Photoshop to bring back some of the contrast you lose in low light. A lot of purists don't like tinkering with the original, but I think, if you can make a good photo better, why not?

I mucked around for about 10 mins in PS Elements to get this. I feel the sky looks a lot more dramatic and the picture has more depth. I also changed the sky at the bottom to separate the dramatic upper clouds from the land and give the picture a definite "horizon". I hope you don't mind justjoem.:)

That edit makes me wanna hang around to see if Mufasa comes through the clouds.

Did you lose Digital Photo Professional (DPP)? Get it here (external link). Cursing at your worse-than-a-map reflector? Check out this vid! (external link)

You could ..easily! Just read page 56 of the current issue of Digital Photography and Design. It's an Australian magazine you can read about at www.yaffa.com.au/digital/ (external link) I don't know what it costs to subscribe if you live in OK, but it sure does have some good Photoshop techniques in it. (Wished I lived in Oklahoma...good storm photography I hear).

Once you learn this technique, you'll use it A LOT. (I don't work for the magazine by the way:D)
