Beatiful dog.

Pic 1 - if you want to emphasise a detail like an eye, nose etc. you need to crop tighter and possibly use a macro lens.

Pic 2 - the crop is a bit tight and the eyes are unnaturally oversaturated. The dog has beautiful eyes on its own, less improvement of the eye color is more in this case.
