My Daughter, the Senior Pt. 2

I wanted to get 4-seasons for my daughter's Senior pictures, but winter skunked out on us this year. She also doesn't like going out in the cold, so I gave up. But Autumn is a too beautiful to ignore in New Hampshire! We had a gorgeous season and I talked my camera-shy girl into taking a few shots on the grounds of the nearby country store. Here are our faves. CC is welcome (for things that I can still change) and feel free to ask me anything.

1.) The store had wonderful displays which made for perfect fall props.

Love them all. She is a beautiful model and you have some great photos. some shots of her smiling more or having fun.

Thanks, saultspics! I would LOVE to get her to loosen up. She's very shy and hates modeling and she doesn't like most of her photos. I have to say that it's easier when it's someone else's child! Thanks for the great feedback.

I understand my son is the same way he hates to have his picture taken.

My next daughter (age 16) is much more comfortable in front of the camera; she is also a performer, so it will be very different when it's her turn. I might even get big SMILES!

Your photography is always top notch. I always look for your posts. She is beautiful, natural and has expressive eyes. Are your backlit shots aided with a reflector or other supplemental lighting? Excellent job!

I have been lurking on this forum for years. I have slowly been getting more comfortable with my photo hobby. These shots are very inspiring.

My favorites are #3 and #6.

I am curious about:
1) In #6 did you use any flash?
2) What have you done to process these two? Would love to see the RAW.

I appreciate that so much, sideliner! I do not use a reflector very often and did not in this session. I make sure that there is plenty of open light around my subjects when I shoot in backlight, so that their faces are not overshadowed.

Thanks Boston Guy (from a fellow New Englander!) I did not use any flash on these, but I do make sure that there is plenty of natural light around my subjects so that they are not overshadowed.

Here are my SOOC of those two shots. I shoot RAW and in "neutral" setting so that I can set my own color, white balance, tint, and work on color casts in Lightroom. I take out distracting elements and work on blemishes and other details in Photoshop.
