The only problem is I convinced the forum that my shots were not good because of the Tamron 90, now I need another excuse :)

Nice sharpness and light.

Which Tamron 90 do you have?

The later Tamron 90mm f/2.8 SP Di is a better lens than the Canon 100L IMO.

Sharper, comparable bokeh, lighter, cheaper, good AF, but a bit more focus throw for better manual shooting.
