I recently ran a firmware update, why? Because it was there.. I didn't think it would throw my focusing off. Well it certainly did. I took some shots using a tripod, of birds at my feeders. I discovered that they were out of focus, even though the camera said that focus was locked on. So now I have to find the time to go back and MFA the lens with my cameras, 70D and T4i.

Should the firmware update caused this?

I had that happen before did a update and it removed my MFA in camera. not a big deal just go to an image taken with it and adjusted
open the file in Canon DPP and get the info and it will tell you the MA setting in that camera. saves you some time. if it wiped settings from dock adjustments then I guess that sucks and have to do it again
