May 24, 2016 21:30 | #2 Permanent banLighting notwithstanding, you need to boost the shadow recovery and the micro-contrast (Clarity). There are several filters that will get this look dependent on how you play with the sliders. Contrast only filter, Low key, and one or two others. Then pop in the background you want. Look at some of their other pictures. Lots of assembly going on. This didn't come from the stands. Not sure why, but call me JJ.

Nik Colour efex 4, On 1 perfect effects, and Matt Kloskowsi (free from on 1 website as LR preset) are all hood. I'd start with Matt's strong preset and bump shadows up and mybe highlights up or down to taste. Might take a little play around. Or matt has a sports game day desaturated preset. Just boost colour to taste. Canon EOS 70D, Canon EOS 600D, EF-S 18-55 ii, EF 55-200 USM ii, EF-S 75-300 iii, Tamron 28-80, Sigma 70-210.
