Yongnuo 560 III Full Power Always!

I have a couple Yongnuo flashed and i love them! My 1 year old, hardly used YN560III was working the other day, but now it always fires full power no matter what!
I've seen this issue online, anybody have a solution or deal with their support?

The answer as you'll find online is that you paid a disposable price so you don't have to worry about future repair costs.

Their support has been phenomenal for me, i contacted them via their facebook page.

They overnighted me a Item straight from Hong Kong to my doorstep in California.

In my experience, the design and construction of their strobes is pretty good for a "disposable" item. I was able to replace a flash tube (broken when someone knocked my flash onto the floor) by myself for $10 and had a good look at the internals.

If you're getting full power pops no matter the power setting, it's possibly the IGBT control circuit. It's worth contacting YN support. Even if you have to buy a brand new replacement Yongnuo, it'll still be cheaper than getting a Canon repaired - and far less than a new one.

They emailed me this... SO in the end it will cost almost as much to ship back and forth as to buy new.

I shoot with a trio of 560III's. Wonderful speedlites.

Personally, if one of mine went faulty, I wouldn't pay shipping to a place, and $25 shipping back. By then, you easily spent $40 or so. When a new 560III is about $55. I'd rather just have a new flash. Just another way to look at it.

I just got a new YN 560IV and it's doing the same thing, as are ALL my other YN flashes on cam or with a trigger . Could my camera have fried them?

Canon flash is fine.
