How do you get clients to approve photos on your business page be viewed by their friends?

I have tried this many times unsuccessfully.

I let the client know that I am posting a photo but they would have to approve it. Sometimes they just don't approve it, or they say they did but they didn't because there are waaay too few likes from they're friends which is an obvious sign.

Sometimes they just make the photo their profile picture and of course the photo that trends is their post and mind becomes ignored.

Thanks for your input!

Can you put in your contract that X number of shots will be used for promotional purposes / preview of product on Facebook. That way if they sign the contract you can post without requiring their approval.

It isn't a bad thing. Off page likes are way more important than on page ones.

Just do good work and keep networking. Who cares about likes? You just look lame telling your clients to like or share stuff.

I've struggled with this a little too. Finally, I've just tried to let it go.
I slap my watermark on there and figure it doesn't really matter whether their friends see it on my page or theirs, just that they see it. Yes, my ego wants it on my page so I can watch the likes and comments add up and look like a baller, but in the end I think what's really important is just that it's seen by as many people as possible.

You think so?

So I should just put my logo on the photo so that if the client makes it their profile picture at least people see the logo???

I would assume then having direct link to my FB page would make it more likely for them to click on it and even Like my page.
Another thing of course is I am trying to build a FB page with lots of likes.

Thanks for your input.

Thanks for the advice. I'm just trying to have a strong Facebook page for when people looking to hire me visit my FB to see how much I've got going on. Facebook is a big tool for photographers that I don't think should be ignored.

I'm just going to give up on it and stamp my logo/website on the photo at least. Haha.

Can you put a link on a photo that you can click to take you to a website? If so how'd you do it please?
