So occasionally I will shoot jpeg instead of raw for various reasons. I'd still like to apply lens corrections, however Lightroom has decided that it will make it extremely difficult for users to do this. While it is possible to create a lens profile using their software, it seems like quite the arduous process.
So, while playing around and searching a few YouTube videos I discovered that if you right click your image in Lightroom and select open in>Photoshop (I'm using CS 5.1) it will open the image in Photoshop where you can click Filters>Lens Corrections. I tried this for my Tamron 24-70VC, Tamron 70-200VC, and Sigma 105 OS Macro and all the profiles showed up (albeit with [raw] in parentheses), but it was close enough for my needs. Now this doesn't help for applying to a large number of images, but if you disparately need to apply a lens profile to an image or images that are "money shots" that you accidentally shot in jpeg, this might help.
