what do you think of this lighting setup

any advice on this lighting setup much apreciated. just for portraits of the kids and family.

You get what you pay for. They'd probably do the job for a while.

true , what would people suggest for a first time buyer on a low budget

well they probably would work but u have much control
they seem to just have full and half for the strobes.
I just bought this SP systems 2 light setup.
The modeling lights have 3 settings of power u can use.
the strobes have 3 settings of power u can use as well.
There is a slav mode on them so only 1 light has to connect to the camera and will trigger the other light when it senses the light went off. Or u can use the slave on both and use the on camera flash to fire them even.
They work very well and where pretty good price from others I have looked at.
