Hudsonian Godwit on the South Carolina coast. This was the first and last I've seen of this species here. It was the only one among a group of Willet.

Jan 28, 2017 23:43 | #23 The birding world was agog with excitement a couple of months ago when a common scoter showed up on the Oregon coast. It is a Code 4 ABA rarity, so birders from all over made the pilgrimage to Lincoln City to see it. My son and I were lucky enough to make it there as well to get a glimpse of this Siberian duck. It vanished a few weeks after we saw it - not sure if it went elsewhere or got predated. IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/PuHRjmSam

BigUgly Senior Member More info | Jan 30, 2017 07:33 | #28 A Chukar, native to Iran/Pakistan region and introduced to the Rocky Mountains of the U.S. This one was in my backyard, Long Island, NY. I can't discount the possibility it is a local domestic bird, but I have never seen any others. No leg band. Image hosted by forum (837412) © Big Ugly [SHARE LINK] THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW.
