'Wheels' Photo Essay

Was asked by Desert Companion magazine a few weeks ago to do a photo essay for their upcoming photo issue. The subject was 'Wheels'. At first i honestly had no idea how to tie this all together to make it all cohesive. I finally decided to shoot a close up portrait with a pulled back image and where possible a detail shot.

Everyone of these shoots were just as interesting as the other but one in particular stood out. The one with the lo-riders. The owner of the car featured was shot and murdered in the garage a year ago. They caught they guy but it was really sad seeing his mom and brother there. Even the victims best friend hadnt drove his lo-rider much since the murder.
