Blue Angel plane crashed and pilot killed.

Thunderbird plane crashed, but looks like pilot survived.

These brave men and women risk their lives day in and day out to provide us with an amazing display of aerial acrobatics, we (at least I do at times) sometimes forget how dangerous it is.

A very bad day at the office! These should be the best maintained aircraft in the inventory, and yet sh** still happens.

Always sad to hear of people getting hurt/killed. Most aircraft are replaceable, pilots are not.

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", 1D MK II converted for IR, and now an M5

It was an even rougher day for the US Army. As of now five soldiers are confirmed dead and four more are missing in a training accident at Ft. Hood, TX.

There is a roughly 10% fatality rate for the Blue Angels and the Thunderbirds.
