This is probably one of the worst photos I have taken from a settings point of view, but it was a moment I was so glad to be able to record.

Taken on Mull on the West Coast of Scotland. At first we thought a Mountain Hare was on the menu for the chicks, but on closer inspection on the back of the camera a couple of hours later it turned out we were wrong. Yup, that is a full deer carcass it's carrying :-)

It certainly isn't going to win any awards, however what a magnificent site to behold and capture, well done Richard I say.

Nice grab shot! Your deer must be a lot smaller than ours.

Wow,

That's pretty incredible - what a bird, always been impressed with the leopards strength and ability to haul a carcass up a tree and this is right up there, no doubt a young red deer (US Elk) but trying to work out from the shot and a base of 2m wingspan that deer still must be about 3/4's of a metre to the shoulder.

Thanks for sharing

Kev
