Question about Godox/Streaklight 360 and Yongnuo triggers

I tried searching but I was having a hard time finding the answer and I was wondering if someone here knew the answer.

I do most of my portraits outdoors (kids, familes, weddings) and for now I've been using a Canon 600EXRT with Yongnuo 622 triggers. This gives me HSS and ETTL, although I find the ETTL to not be very consistent. I was looking at this strobe because I often find that Canon flash has trouble keeping up especially when trying to take several in a row, which happens a lot when working with children.

I recently found out about the Godox/Streaklight/Cheetahlight 360 strobe with battery pack and I think it would be well suited for what I need.

I was thinking I would be ok with just the manual mode only because of the cost factor and I think I want to move away from using ETTL.

I was looking at this one here:
http://www.adorama.com …tml#source=productOptions (external link)

I also have 2 Yongnuo YN-622C triggers.

With a Streaklight 360 strobe, Yongnuo 622 triggers and a 5DMkIII, can you use HSS mode when needed and can you remotely(from the camera body) adjust the power settings on the strobe and turn HSS on and off?

If not, would adding the Yongnou 622-TX flash controller enable thisor would I need a different set of triggers instead?

Thank you for your help

Get the CL360X (Cheetah Light) or Flashpoint etc. equivalent. Get an X1T-c or the just released XT-32c trigger and go to town.

If you really need the speedlite on your camera, then consider using the CL860X-c or equivalent since it will act as a master.

This give you HSS without a concern and TTL is there when you want it.

Much easier to manage than adding a third manufacturer's hardware to the mix with the risk that if something doesn't work as expect there is no easy way to trouble shoot the problem.

What David said. If you're going to spend the money you might as well step up to the TTL version of the 360 especially if you have been using TTL. NO regrets later that way. Also do your self a favor and dump the YN622's. The Godox X1 transmitter hands down is the best transmitter I have used and it is packed with a lot of options (too many actually) not to mention it was designed to work directly with the new 2.4G flashes from Godox. If you want to incorporate your 600EX into the mix then add an X1 receiver. The X1 display and menu system is so much faster than trying to use the 5DmIII's flash menu.

Thanks for the feedback, although I may wait and save more if its not worth getting the manual only light as the going with the ETTL and triggers is quite a bit more.
