I have a potential client that offers instructional classes for off roading, and the participants seem to be interested in photographs. I'm wondering if it would be reasonable to offer some form of split profit with the instructor. Where if his clients were interested in the pictures he would refer them to me and I would pay him some of the profit. Photography is a very small side income for me. I'm not too worried about how much money I make, but I never give photographs away for free. I want to have a reasonable plan next time I meet up with the instructor.
If I did go this route what would be a good percentage of the profits to offer him. Is 50/50 devaluing my work too much? Keep in mind that the money I would be offering him is very little compared to what he makes as an instructor.
Thanks!
