Congratulations on a fine capture, Brian. IMO this is near the top of the list of most beautiful birds in the world.

Nice ones Brian, Just spent 3 weeks in Tanzania in July and couldn't get one Lilac Breasted roller shot i was happy with!

Indeed!

The order Coraciiformes consists of kingfishers, rollers and bee eaters in the Old World, as well as as the kingfishers, motmots and todies in the New World.

So yes, they are closely related.
