The red fox kits sure do enjoy their Mom time. When there are so many of them, it's a rare treat, even if she does have to discipline them.

Thanks very much Ryan, MM and Garry. My apologies for the delay in acknowledging your comments, have had some away from home time. And of course, I should add in case you didn't know that this was, as it turned out, not Mom but Dad, and he was killed when hit by a car on June 27th. People who knew him were amazed that his motherly, nurturing ways were those of a male fox. The female is still looking after the kits and bringing them food as well as teaching them to hunt, but not when humans are immediately present. She is much more secretive.

Three hour flight Bob :). This year's family is just about at the end of their stay. Mom was seen this morning leading all kits down the 4th fairway on a hunting excursion. Two kits were seen by a neighbour trotting down her driveway about a kilometre away.
