Slide the City (Richmond,Va)

I just happened to be walking around the city when I stumbled upon this event. A 1000 foot water slide that goes down a city street. Here's a few photos from the fun!

These city slide events look like a blast; unfortunately, they are frowned upon in California due to the drought situation.

I was kinda thinking how can they waste all this water the entire time I was there. It was quite fun to capture everyone's expressions. If only I were able to take a ride myself

Yeah...I doubt there is any concern for water in Virginia, (far more than the population uses is my guess). In the southwest, it's a huge concern.

In my city, Vancouver, BC, we have water shortages as well despite being next to an ocean. For a slide event here they recycled the water which is a great idea but kinda gross when you think about it!
