Family members and friends apply turmeric paste to the bride and groom before the wedding. It usually happens the day before the wedding and friends and family bless the couple while they apply the paste. The bride will also have her Mendhi ceremony (Henna tattoos) 1-2 days before the wedding. WEBSITE
