Great area for cats and I love the off road tracking. I'm taking a group there again in 2017 (in combination with time at Sabi Sands). Buddy4344

I'm currently reading Chris McBrides' "White Lions of Timbavati", which is giving me a lot of history of that region back in the mid-70's and it's getting me to look back at my Timbavati images. Back in the mid-70's their were no guest lodges, of course they shot film and the animals were so unaccustomed to vehicles that McBride actually built a cage around his 4x4 so he would be safe while observing the cats. Heck, just in 2005 I could hardly shoot over ISO 640 on images in the bush. It makes me appreciate what a golden time for seeing and photographing nature we have right now.
