So I started with the AD360II last summer with no issues. I recently added R2 receivers to my Zoom Li-on flashes and suddenly the system has gone to crap (I don't believe the receivers are the cause.

While at a wedding with everything working flawlessly, the whole system stopped functioning EXCEPT the X1R I was using on a flash bracket. Powers change, nothing fires (including the AD360II with built in receiver. So I switched everything over to the Odin system and finished the gig.

I get home, do some playing, fresh batteries etc. suddenly I find in AV mode nothing will fire with flashes set to manual mode, switch camera to manual, flashes fire. Leave it in manual, switch flash to TTL they fire. Put camera in AV, put a 430 ex in the camera hotshoe set to manual, it fires.

Assumed it was something with AV mode and Godox. Fast forward to a shoot yesterday, Get my AD360II out, it fires on AV with flash set in manual, switch camera to manual it won't fire. Fiddle farted around turning things off and on, switching batteries, suddenly it fires in manual mode so I finish session and leave everything as is (I shoot in full manual most of the time).

Anyone experiencing this? I need to order the fully manual 2.4ghz trigger because I can't be having this issue. While I don't use TTL much save fast moving event/receptions, when I need it, I need it. Obviously in the heat of the moment, I couldn't sit and trouble shoot at a reception, and I can't have a system suddenly quit - and I can't be rebooting the TX by removing batteries or power cycling.

Any ideas?

Firmware?
Is it latest version for every device?
Which Canon camera?

I haven't shot Canon for a couple of years but I know the firmware for the X system Canon variant has been going through some updates. That usually means its important to have latest version in each device.

So I'm attempting to upgrade all the firmware. I've done the Tx, Rx but cannot get the AD360II to update. I keep getting a "cannot open USB device" error. Ideas? I'm using an old Windows XP laptop. The firmware was extremely old versions which was probably my problem.
