I love this thread..... unfortunately I just cleaned out the truck and reorganized all my equipment from my trip last week thought I was going to get out today but someone told me it was chore day.

No entry from me this week but keep at it

My eldest has no interest. He's sort of a jock and only cares about sports.

I have a feeling my middle will fall into it but he's still really young. He likes to take photos on phones and sitting in my lap looking through the viewfinder.

Paddle camped last four days. Last 22 hours were monsoon level rain.
So a minimalist portrait of one of our paddling friends staring out into the rain-

had to rush the shot, couldnt get my planned shot, so had to settle for local stuff....

What do you think guys, should i choose the winner now? I would suggest we keep it running another week as i would love to see more entries on that theme. Very nice submissions so far!

Tried removing the feather just leaving the shadow but it turned from Minimalist to Surreal

Thanks, originally I had my sig growing out of the crack in the sidewalk but ultimately decided I liked the writing in the concrete better.

I had a heck of a time seeing to focus on the weed since the camera was resting on the ground and I was facing into the sun. I had to rely on AF using wide focus area mode and it worked great using my Sigma 35 f1.4 lens.

I would give it until noon eastern today...which would be about 3PM GMT. I think that has been a general guideline...

If it stretches to about 8pm GMT I will post my shot when I get home from work. But don't hold out just for me as the shot isn't great any ways. I was just too tired yesterday to edit it

my 2 year old daughter is always interested in my cameras, she always tries to get them, I wish this will continue when she gets older and I will get her, her own camera.

It seems my post about stretching this theme one more week got overlooked. Ill wait for eddies submission and choose the winner by then, if thats okay for everyone.

Edit: i just realized there are now quite some entries that I overlooked Ill still wait for you eddie, the more the better
