Definitely arguably... glad you said that and not something silly like "easily", because then we'd have to bring up Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, Hell On Wheels (for the few who have seen it), Band of Brothers, the list goes on...

well, I've watched plenty of those hbo/showtime shows as well, and GOT is EASILY my favorite, it's not even close. Lol, walking dead shouldnt ever be compared. It's enjoyable in the three stooges kinda way :-P, but that show has no depth at all.

battle of the bastards had crazy hype going into it, and one of the seldom moments in television, where it fully lived up to the hype.... just amazing.

Saying Walking Dead has no depth is simply untrue, the evolution/devolution of the characters is very well written for the most part. GoT is a fantastic show, but there are so many characters that I straight up just don't care about or don't matter, and they've cheapened the blows of twist deaths by doing it so often that I'm simply not surprised anymore, especially since now I've been calling it every time... everyone seemed so blown away by Cersei going all Mad King this season and I was sitting there like "Wait, you didn't see that coming?"

Breaking Bad is still the best show ever aired in my opinion. Walter White's descent into Heisenberg was so masterfully written and executed from beginning to end. I think GoT goes for too much of the shock and awe and it sort of cheapens the plot for me. My favorite show currently being aired is probably Hell On Wheels though... but I'm also kind of a sucker for Westerns :)

I loved Lost up until the last 2 seasons... those 2 seasons seriously ruined that show for me.

I keep meaning to watch it all again as I seem to remember the ending was confusing, loved it as it was airing though. I love the walking dead, can't wait for the next season to start back!

I really dont get the hype. I found breaking bad to be extremely boring, extremely dark und made me feel bad myself after watching it for too long. I also watched the first season GOT and found it equally boring.

I guess it is me that is the problem. I guess i just like funny shows a lot more than serious ones. I feel much better after watching brooklyn 99 or men at work than by watching those hyped shows

I've been feeling the same way recently and actually don't watch much TV any more. I never got into game of thrones, but I kept with The Walking Dead until this past season (and have read most of the comics), and watched all of breaking bad.....but I'm honestly burnt out of all the misery porn that makes up most popular TV these days. I still do a lot of reading...but most popular books these days are all about dystopian societies....Sign of the times I guess, but I'm over it.
