Unfortunately, with the exception of his point about relative cost (smaller camera, higher price) his argments for one over the other could just as easily apply to a comparison of the Nikon F2 vs. the Olympus OM-1, IMHO. It did little to reveal differences between focus/viewfinder/image capture methods that arise from the lack of a reflex mirror, unfortunately, but dealt only with superficial characteristics -- that are equally true of the compact film SLRs offered by Olympus, and all the other full size SLR manufacturers who offered compact body models during the 1980s.

I do feel his overall assessment, that each type of camera has its place, and neither displaces the other for all purposes, reiterates the point that many of us have made in the recent past, in response to the fanboy, 'dSLR is dead, long live mirrorless' opinions expressed.
