Thanks Joe, you as well!! I will be updating soon with a new car (below) I shot for work. I am very fortunate to work for Dr Don Panoz. We make so much cool stuff down here plus we get to go race it!! Well not me personally, I am a machinist by trade but its my parts that help the cars around the track!
Since you own an EV, enjoy the pic of our latest project. It was revealed in France at LeMans 2 days ago..

That looks crazy! I always appreciate it when my interest in performance automobiles mingles with EV/Alternative energy power :)

Took this December 2007, and I just found it on an old hard drive. Snow squall over the Detroit River.

This one, too. Some old church/school off Gratiot. I don't even know if it's still there. This was taken the day after the above shat was taken.

There's at least a couple thousand shots on this HD. Most are terrible though, lol.

From last week.

Thanks. Looks like I'm following your lead - I went out with two film cameras yesterday. :D

1983 New Sure Shot. Was a gift to my mother right around the time I was born.

IMAGE: https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4242/35532341796_969df88a4b_b.jpg

The XG-1 was given to my dad in 1982. I've had it for a few years but never really used it - I thought it was quite intimidating, and none of my friends shot film.
Using a 5d in aperture priority really isn't too dissimilar I am discovering.

I meant to ask is you knew of any places that will develop and scan on the cheap, locally? I don't need prints.

Nice that you have some family history with those cameras and they appear to be in nice condition.
My XG1 was purchased new by me in the late 70s. Dad shot a XG7 at the same time. I dug mine out in 2015 when I got back into Film.

I just purchased a Nikon One Touch (L35AF2) in June via ebay for $8, looks similar to your Sure Shot.

A local guy processes and scans my film for $15/roll. Not bad really. Let me know if that works for you and I'll forward his info.

Very cool. Do you remember how damn loud it was? They almost sound fake they're so loud, lol.

I stopped in the local salvation army today and what did I find hanging on the wall? Even had working batteries in it. The flash doesn't work, but it has the original strap (mine doesn't), and I can steal the battery door off it (the tripod mount is keeping the batteries in mine) if I find any other problems. For three dollars, it seems to function aside from the flash.
