It alone is a reason to visit Iceland. I will tell you though that it was cold, bone-cold, and several times I had to grab the tripod and run--literally--from an iceberg being thrown at me by the waves. Some of the 'bergs were the size of VW beetles. Also at one point I turned both eyes to the camera=mistake; always keep one eye on the waves, and I took a rogue wave up to my thighs. If you go, early early morning is the time to work the beach. Had my fair share of cold. While I live in California now, I grew up in PA and spent a year in Alaska while I was in the USAF. I'm not able to run (have some mobility issues), so I'd have to shoot from afar...if I ever get the opportunity to go. Images in the Backcountry
