Upgrade from 488RC2?

I've been using the 488RC2 successfully and happily for several years.

It did a header falling out of the car and I think it may need to be replaced so I'm looking for recommendations about what to replace it with?

What functions are available that I'm ignorant to with the 488RC2?

The 488RC2 while a ballhead, it's not a very smooth one in terms of tension drag and positioning.

Get a ballhead like the Sirui K-30X, a substantial upgrade for sure!

Or even the Sirui K-40X - a bit heavy but very solid - loving mine!

Life is for living, cameras are to capture it (one day I will learn how!).
