Huge boost in noise going from CR to PS?

I have some photos i took at the end of a gig. Terribly underexposed is an understatement lol

When i take them into camera raw in can get it to this ..

acceptable lol. I think i could do even more to enhance it via PS&CEfex. So i click ok to take it into PS it looks like this!! ..

Terrible exposures aside. Whats going on?
Not great pics ofc. I dont know what happened. Was using pop up flash. But its some pic i think a girl from the band would have liked. So its moments here rather than good quality pics i want to save if you get me.
That, and i just want to understand whats happening lol ?!?

Make sure you only ever judge noise at 100% view. Have you compared the noise at 100% in both programs?
