Not what I was expecting

I know... Magestic heights, snow capped peaks, pines...

But that's the name.

Love the shot. Colors are great.

Architectural Digest had a short piece on this artwork in this month's issue.

Ugo Rondinone’s Seven Magic Kingdoms in Sloan, Nevada
Some ten miles south of Las Vegas, seven totems constructed from brightly painted boulders rise in the desert. Swiss artist Ugo Rondinone spent nearly five years working on the project, which will be on display for 24 months. Through May 11, 2018; sevenmagicmountains.com

I'm certainly no art authority, but doesn't 5 years seem to be a very long time to create this work? -?

Yes, and $3.5 millions seems like a lot of money.

As far as "art" goes, if you gave an average 5-year some colored blocks, he could create the same thing, albeit on a smaller scale.

I wouldnt call the sculptures art, but your pictures are nicely done, and I would consider them art. I wouldnt want the sculptures in my back yard, but I think your pictures would liven up a wall.
