Last year for Prime day they offered a $40 gift card if you signed up at the $9.99 a month price. The $7.49 a month price is a $30 savings rather than $40, but not sure if they will give the same discount. (and with the $40 gift card you had to buy more stuff from Amazon to realize any savings)
