Dear Board,

I have a Harrisburg, PA mailing address but I kind of live out in the sticks. There is an 11,000 acre State Gamelands that borders my property and begins about 50 yards from my house. I have had bears come in and wreck my bird feeders numerous times in the past couple of years. Today as I was preparing a pork roast for cooking on the Weber kettle grill this bear showed up.

I have pictures taken with a trail camera of a bear raiding my feeders in the early AM hours so I don't think it was the same bear that usually comes around, as that night time bear is bigger? Still it was exciting to see it from my kitchen window, and even more exciting that he stuck around as I grabbed a camera and slid open the deck door and went outside.

I came inside and sort of began crying a bit. I love the natural world and I love it even more that God decided to drop a bear in my lap this beautiful Sunday afternoon.

Regards,

Tim Murphy :-)

And they tortured the timber and stripped all the land
Well, they dug for their coal till the land was forsaken
Then they wrote it all down as the progress of man"

Was he scratching his butt on the tree in the first picture?

Great pictures until the bears become a destructive nuisance.
