Looks like the original, non-USM model. I had a copy, it was REALLY sharp. The IQ gave a very similar look to the USM model. Nice to see these are still around.
Good Luck With Sale!

Thanks for the general info on the model. The lens does have a smooth feeling to the surface versus the newer USM models. For the record, I've never used the USM model so I'm just going off photos of the lenses online.

I don't know if there's a thread for it. I'll try searching for it. If I find one, I will post a link.

This is 1:1? I'm very interested.

I'm not sure how to tell? I have pretty much zero knowledge of macro.
I'll pose a question in the macro forum.

You indicate the glass is 8/10, but I'm having trouble identifying problems on the lens images. Are any test shots possible, or a summary of what you docked 2 points for?

I'll get it out of the box and look it over again, I believe I was being modest and trying to error on the safe side. Give me an hour to get home!

Oh yeah, don't mean to be impatient. If there are no scratches affecting IQ or fungus I have funds ready.

You didn't come off as impatient. I just like to be fast to respond. I'm also kicking myself for clicking "reply" instead of "quote" before, makes my responses a bit more coherent when they are matched directly with the OP lol

I just slapped it onto my wife's 60D and took a picture of this evening's nightcap. Just jpegs straight out of the camera with most stuff in auto.
There are 4 tiny specs on the rear lens that in no way affect image quality; due to those smalls specs is why I listed it as 8/10. I'd pretty confidently say that you will not ever notice them.
No fungus among us.

It should also be noted that the two black spots which are circled in the second photo are inclusive of the bottle label :-)
