My wife alerted me to this one yesterday. I had time to change to my macro lens and get outside and still capture some shots. This one seems considerably more colorful than the one our daughter showed me last year.

Thank you. Yes, it does have history and is near some very nice natural areas (for flat old northwest Ohio). The Oak Openings area is globally unique and has a wide variety of plants in particular. Also there is a wide variety of birds (although I am not much of a bird photographer).

I have never seen a moth like that before. I would have called it "Rock Lobster".

Yes, this one looks somewhat different from the one I was able to shoot last year. It looks like this year's is older and more worn, as indicated by the "bald" spots. Here is a photo of last year's moth.
